Señorío de Cuzcurrita

Señorío de Cuzcurrita is the wine made from the grapes harvested from within the castle’s walled estate and from other vineyards located in the surrounding area.

This wine genuinely represents the personality of Cuzcurrita.

All of the vines are old, unirrigated and head pruned in bush style. During the veraison a thinning of the fruit takes place to adjust the amount of grapes per vine with its foliar cover, to ensure quality fruit. The rate is 1.5 to 2.0 m2 per vine.

Señorío de Cuzcurrita is fermented at 30º followed by a long maceration process in 15,000 litre tanks of excellent geometry. It has a noticeable Picota cherry red colour, an intense nose of mature, red fruits and hints of spices from the barrel. Soft and enfolding tannins to the mouth leaving a long and persisting finish.
